FM\u00a0Danitza V\u00e1zquez Maccarini\u00a0<\/strong>emerged as the winner of Puerto Rico Women’s Championship. The five-round Swiss tournament that brought together nine participants, took place at the University of Puerto Rico, Bayam\u00f3n Recinto.<\/p>

Danitza turned in a dominating performance winning four straight games and securing the title with a round to spare. Despite forfeiting the last round game and tying for the first place with\u00a0Natasha Morales Santos<\/strong>, Vazquez Maccarini became the champion as the winner of their third-round direct encounter.\u00a0Keyshla Vega Jimenes\u00a0<\/strong>claimed bronze.<\/p>

With this achievement, Danitza qualified for the Puerto Rico Women’s National Team that will be representing the country at the 44th World Olympiad 2022 in Chennai, India, this summer.<\/p>
